Green Smoke vs Blu… The battle has begun!

New to alternative smoking and electronic cigarettes myself I decided put the two hottest brands of ecigarettes in a head to head comparison dueling it out with each others respective flavored nicotine cartridges.

Green Smoke:

This e-cigarette has the “look” of an actual tobacco cig as the LED tip lights up an orange-red when you take a drag off of it.  The tobacco flavor is dead on as you can really taste it and the smoke vapor has a heavy feel similar to tobacco smoke, and the flavor has a good hit and bite to it as you feel it just like a real cigarette.  Even the second hand vapor sticks around a little while before it dissipates away.  The other flavors like vanilla, chocolate, etc are light tasting and a bit too weak for me, but to each his own.  Taking a drag off a Green Smoke is easy when the battery is fresh, but once it starts to wear down it gets tougher to inhale I have found.  Green Smoke ecigs do not shut off so you need to pay attention to how much you are smoking, especially if you choose a high level of nicotine cartridge.

Blu Cigs:

With a sleek and elegant black gloss finish and cool blue LED light at the tip this one is a real attention getter all while being somewhat smaller and thinner than the Green Smoke ecigarette and a tad lighter as well.  Blu is easy to drag on, you breathe anywhere near it and the atomizer is activated right away.  Tasting the flavored nicotine cartridges is quite unique, at first you taste the flavor whatever it may be but the real kicker is the after taste, no matter what I taste beer on each and every nicotine cartridge.  Not that this is bad thing, just strikes me odd is all.  The taste and feel is very nice, good throat hit and yes, it can be “gnarly”.  Blu Cigs will blink it’s LED 6 times to warn you of overusing it and too avoid nicotine consumption, pretty cool feature (Luci has a similar feature as well).

The Verdict:

While I like both of these electronic cigarettes for different reasons it all depends on what you like.  If you prefer the smaller size of Blu or the larger size of Green Smoke like me (cause I have big sausage fingers).  I do know that Blu Cigs attract a lot of attention at the club, the hot girls get hypnotized by the “blue” light, so it makes a great “ice breaker”.  As far as taste and real smoking experience goes, they both these electronic smoking devices deliver rather effectively, but the real test is to see how reliable they are as a brand, so I will keep you posted on all of this along with any other experiences good or bad along the way.

Compared to the real deal (tobacco cigs) they are very cost effective no doubt about it, you will save money by using the e-cigarette as NO tobacco tax is involved (tax free cigarettes) which makes the biggest difference in overall price.
